Directorate of Education (Colleges) Lahore Division, Lahore, under the Supervision of DPI (Colleges) Punjab is responsible for imprating of quality education, learning and related services for students, teachers and non teaching staff working in the Public Sector Colleges across Lahore Division.
Its aim is to achieve a highly educated society where educational opportunities are equally available for all young people in Pakistan, no matter what their social, ethnic, and cultural background or family circumstances are.
HED is the Administrative Department with a strong network of field offices to ensure compliance of executive decisions. Currently, HED operates through a network of one field headquarter/Attached Department, i.e., Directorate of Public Instructions Colleges Punjab, 09 Divisional Directorates, 37 District offices are managing more than 824 colleges across Punjab.

Administration
Supervision of Intermediate, Degree, BS-4-Years, ADP classes across Lahore Division.
Needs
assessment and coordination with HED and DPIC Punjab for provision of resources in terms of funds, human resource, infrastructure to the public sector colleges.
Effective
and result-oriented coordination with the Government and District offices (Lahore, Kasur, Sheikhupura and Nankana Sahib) being run by the Deputy Directors of Education (Colleges) in Punjab and other Government, semi-government and private sector college administrations.
Preparation
of Planning Commission (PC-I) of the new projects to be initiated by the Higher Education Department, monitoring and evaluation of the ongoing Annual Development Schemes (ADPs) and Provision of Missing Facilities in the public sector colleges on need basis.
